Water of Leith

Our traditional New Year’s Day walk became a bit of a circuits session. There was the resistance training (pulling a tired four-year-old along on his bike using the rope from the sledge); the weight-lifting (carrying the tired four-year-old home when he would no longer sit on the bike) and even a bit of dead lifting (grasping the only bits of the four-year-old not covered in mud to pull him with a slurp from the churned-up puddle into which he flopped face first).

At least it didn’t rain and the views along the Water of Leith were gorgeous.

I’m looking forward to my second Janathon. My first was in Aberdeen, in 2014, so this one, in Edinburgh, should have some different views and new challenges

Happy New Year!

You made me chuckle at your description of your circuit training. Why do people join expensive gyms when you can utilize any handy four-year-old?

Well exactly! And the more resistant the four year old the harder the workout… πŸ˜‰
